Steeped in history & architectural beauty, Grade II-listed BMA House in Tavistock Square has been home to the headquarters of the British Medical Association since 1925 & now provides an impressive & sustainable setting for corporate events & special occasions.
Having recently been upgraded with high-tech facilities, many of the versatile spaces retain their original features & can host everything from small meetings of six to celebrations of 320 guests. All events are supported by a friendly on-site technical team. Their wise technicians are on hand to take care of everything audio-visual for your event.
BMA House also has a Courtyard & Garden, offering outdoor space that is rarely found in Central London.
Our central London venue provides an enticing mix of history and technical excellence that never fails to impress organisers and delegates alike. With 22 rooms to choose from, along with two outdoor spaces, you’re sure to find the right one for your event.
Our fabulous in-house caterer, Company of Cooks, creates British-based, seasonally-inspired menus with taste and wellbeing at their heart.
Our superb central London location means they are excellent for national and international conferences. Located in the heart of Bloomsbury with attractive gardens, parks, restaurants and hotels on their doorstep, they are right in the centre of the action so there is plenty for your guests to look forward to if they are staying overnight.
Features & Facilities
Catering is central to BMA House’s sustainability initiatives. Working with Company of Cooks, BMA House offers meticulously planned menus that feature locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and exclude high-impact items like beef.
Guests can enjoy ethical food that supports British farmers, minimises food miles, and champions low-impact choices. Additionally, surplus produce is incorporated into meals, creating a zero-waste approach to food preparation.
Distinct from other central London venues, BMA House places sustainability at the heart of everything they do.
Awarded Gold accreditation with Green Tourism, Platinum ECOsmart status with Greengage, and a regular award winner in the Sustainability category at the London Venue Awards, BMA House is a standout example of how heritage venues can adapt to the needs of the modern, eco-conscious client.
In collaboration with Planet Mark, BMA House introduced a complimentary carbon calculator, enabling clients to understand the environmental impact of their events. This tool offers actionable insights on carbon emissions, allowing clients to plan eco-conscious events and track improvements over time. This unique service solidifies BMA House’s role as a pioneering venue in sustainability.
Every event will keep the same event planner they confirm their booking with, this provides a seamless journey for the client with no handing over to another department mid-way through their booking.
Their hidden gem offers more than just indoor space; take a step out of your meeting into the Courtyard and Garden, a rare asset within a city.
All meeting rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art AV technology.
From small meeting rooms to full conferencing spaces for up to 320, their versatile event space offers the ideal solution for large conferences, meetings, AGMs, dinners, award ceremonies, product launches and exhibitions.
